Go to Steve's:

Steve Heneghan is a young, hard working rider, with a good team behind him for the first time in his race career. Unfortunately, championship winning opportunities have previously been spoiled by serious injury and a lack of funding.

Steve entered the UK racing scene in 2000 after encouragement from family and friends.

His rookie year was onboard an uncompetitive and almost entirely standard Honda CBR600, yet he wasted no time in making his mark on the 600cc National Club racing scene. Despite competing on many unfamiliar tracks, he managed numerous top ten finishes. This was an impressive start, as the 600cc class is known to be the most competitive at club level.

Even more remarkable was his second year, racing in the 400cc class onboard a Kawasaki ZXR400. Steve enjoyed unrivalled success, taking the chequered flag no less than 19 times, the high point being at Cadwell Park, where he started from last (34th) position on the grid!

This successful season led to him being invited to ride for Beowulf Suzuki at the remaining BSB Rounds in the British Junior SuperStock Championship. However, luck was to change. While testing at Mallory, a crash in the wet was to result in Steve sliding at speed into the Pit wall, breaking his hip. This put him out of action at a crucial time, resulting in him losing both his team place and sponsors. Undeterred, he purchased his own machine for 2003.

Back in the 600cc class and with limited funds, Steve had a machine that was obviously down on development compared to his competitors. This made for a frustrating and disappointing season, which makes his achievements all the more impressive; the chequered flag in no less than 7 races.

Forced to sit out the 2004 season, Steve has been training hard for his entry to the 2005 British SuperStock Championship and is keen to demonstrate his undoubted talents. With the right team and sponsors in place, he can concentrate on doing what he loves best; winning motorcycle races.

Steve says that the British Superbike Championship is the largest domestic motorcycle racing series in the world. Anyone sponsoring Steve will become a part of the team, working and enjoying the ups and downs of how a BSB team works. Access to all areas and tickets will be available for sponsors and enable the team to have the best shot at being successful this season. Are you ready for the challenge?
