John began racing in 2002 in the the BMCRC Rookie 600
Championship. Although he loved the racing, it was cut
short when he blew an engine. He didn't know you were
supposed to check it every 10 hours!
2003 saw John enter the highly competitive BMCRC
Supersport 600 Championship but halfway through the
season, he was injured, leaving him unable to race for
half the year. Determined to carry on, he returned to
racing at the end of the season and achieved two
personal bests at Snetterton and Brands Hatch to prove
to himself that he could still race competitively.
In 2004, John entered the BMCRC MiniTwins
Championship and took his first podium finish. He went
on to achieve 2 wins and 2 seconds, making it his best
season to date.
John is once again entering the MiniTwins
Championship and says "Watch this space!"
John is looking for sponsorship to enable him to
enlist the services of a personal tutor to improve his
race craft as to date, he is self taught. He would also
like to spend more time testing so he can learn more
about the circuits and to fine tune his bike. Can you
help?
